Mission-statement

We as followers of Jesus Christ exist to fulfill the Great Commission by partnering with the Body of Christ between the Western Church and Haiti, to help people out of physical and spiritual poverty through short-term and long-term assistance.

We intend to give 100% of the raised support directly for the work in the mission field.

7th Grade ClassGospel Haitihas been created with the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission in Haiti, by the grace of God. (Matth 28; 19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.)

In this passage, Jesus asks his disciples to follow his instructions. In the particular context of Haiti, we are especially reminded of what Jesus said in Matth 25:35-36 (For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.). Our intention is to bring the Gospel of Christ in Haiti through various means and more specifically by taking care of the physical and spiritual needs of the poor. The main purpose in providing various forms of support is to fulfill the Great Commission.

We believe that in the context of Haiti, we need to address some of the current needs of the people in order to be able to reach their spiritual needs. Because of this, we plan, in first place, to obey the teaching of Christ by taking care of the needy and supporting our brothers and sisters in Christ. By doing that, we plan to show the Gospel in action and influence the people we partner with in order to lead them to the Gospel-centered life. Therefore, we will first focus on urgent physical needs in order to address spiritual needs on a longer term.

We also acknowledge that God has brought in our life, close committed friends living in Haiti. We plan to partner with them and other committed Christians we may meet who share the similar vision as our organization. Therefore, the actions of our organizations will rely on the relationships we build in Haiti.
